On Saturday night Dancing Lotus were announced as the winners of BBC introducing's Summer Sundae Comp, despite the drunken antics of the band's frontman.

Live on air, and in a barely recognisable and considerably slurred Geordie accent he told BBC DJ Dean Jackson "I'm going to kiss your forehead. Kiss it everywhere" before seemingly passing out, despite only drinking one rosé spritzer and his favourite – a Slippery Nipple that night. The conversation was completed by an unknown female companion, who had clearly struck gold that evening. 

The band will open the main stage of Summer Sundae festival in Leicester on Friday at 3pm, where Dean Jackson will be longingly waiting for his kiss.
